Job description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive culinary experience, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating great food. The Assistant Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth running in the kitchen and
the delivery of high quality food.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Help prepare and cook burgers, marinated ribs, pizzas, and other menu items.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and cooked to the highest standards.
Follow recipe and presentation guidelines set forth by the Chef. KITCHEN DUTIES:
Support the Head Chef in managing the daily kitchen operations.
Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment and follow health and safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as required.
QUALITY CONTROL:
Ensure all dishes are consistently cooked and served to the highest quality.
Conduct taste tests and adjust seasonings as needed to maintain flavor and quality. Monitor food preparation and cook times to ensure food is served promptly.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth service.
Support junior kitchen staff and ensure they follow kitchen protocol.
Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated experience as an assistant cook or similar role in a restaurant environment. Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality food.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Culinary training or equivalent preferred.
